Everything you need to know about BandeRythmo
A rythmo band is a text that scrolls in sync with the video. It lets you read the dialogue at the moment it should be spoken, and fit your words to the rhythm of the picture. It is the technique dubbing studios use to match a new voice to the original performance.
Our tool analyzes your video's audio and transcribes the dialogue automatically. It also detects the different speakers and generates word-level timecodes. You can then fix the text, assign each line to a character, and adjust the timing word by word in the editor.
Yes. BandeRythmo automatically removes the original voices during the lines you want to dub, while keeping the music and background sound. You don't need to hunt for a dialogue-free version or rebuild the whole soundscape. After generating, choose “Dubbing version” in the download menu. The result depends on the video's audio: some voices may stay faintly audible.
Yes. Once your rythmo band is created, the Studio lets you start a session and invite friends with a link. Each participant picks a role and records their voice in real time. The audio tracks are merged automatically.
BandeRythmo accepts all common video formats (MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV, WebM). You can export in 16:9 (YouTube, cinema) or 9:16 (TikTok, Reels, Shorts), with a blurred background instead of black bars. During the free trial, the rythmo band is 720p with a watermark. A video unlocked with credits, or all your videos with the subscription, is exported in 1080p at 60 fps, with no watermark.
Yes. BandeRythmo is a web app: open it in a recent browser, with nothing to install. On a phone or a computer, you can import a video, fix the script, and generate your rythmo band. The Studio then lets you record a voice.
You can start with a free trial: uploading, automatic transcription, and script editing are open to everyone with no account (up to 3 transcriptions a day). You need an account to generate your rythmo band, in 720p with a watermark, until your first unlocked video. To export in 1080p at 60 fps with no watermark, buy a credit pack from €1.99 as a one-time purchase, or subscribe for €9.99/month or €99.99/year.
One credit is about one minute of video: unlocking a video under one minute costs 1 credit, and a 3-minute video costs 3. A short TikTok-style video usually uses 1 to 2 credits. You are charged once per video: adjusting the timings and regenerating cost nothing more. Credit packs contain 3, 10, or 25 credits as a one-time payment, and credits never expire.
A few minutes, depending on the length of your video: import, automatic transcription, checking the text, and generating the rythmo band. You can then use the Studio if you want to record a voice.
Yes, they are two names for the same thing. “Dubbing strip” is the everyday term, while professionals say “rythmo band” (from the French bande rythmo). Both mean a text that scrolls in sync with the video.
