Convert Video to 9:16 Vertical With a Blurred Background
A movie or anime scene is 16:9, but TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts expect a vertical video. Center-cropping would cut off the characters on the sides, which is a real problem when two characters answer each other in a dub.
This tool will convert a video to 9:16 vertical by placing the entire video in the middle of a 1080×1920 frame, over a blurred background taken from the same picture, the way most creators do it. It is the same layout as the 9:16 format in BandeRythmo, with a slight zoom that fills the screen better (you can turn it off to keep 100% of the width). The audio is copied unchanged.

What size is the output video?
1080 × 1920 pixels, the standard vertical format for social media.
What does the slight zoom do?
It enlarges the video so it takes up more of the screen, at the cost of cropping 7.5% off each side. Turn it off to keep the full width of the picture.
What if my video is already vertical?
It fills the full height, and the blurred background covers any bars on the sides.
