Resize Video Online: Crop to 16:9, 9:16, 1:1 or 4:5

Every platform has its own shape: 16:9 for YouTube, 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, square or 4:5 for some feeds. A dubbed scene often has to be adapted to where it will be posted, or simply shrunk to be lighter.

This tool will crop a video to the center for the aspect ratio you pick and resize it to the resolution you want (1080p, 720p or 480p). The video is never scaled up beyond its original size, and the audio is copied untouched. If you want a vertical video that keeps the whole picture on a blurred background instead of cutting the sides, use the dedicated 9:16 tool.

Your video never leaves your device: it is processed right in your browser, with no upload and no sign-up.

Your file never leaves your device: everything is processed in your browser.

Need a rythmo band?

BandeRythmo transcribes the dialogue and generates a rythmo band, a scrolling dubbing script synced to your video. The Studio is there if you then want to record your own voice, solo or with others.

Frequently asked questions

Does cropping cut off part of the picture?

Yes. The edges are trimmed to reach the chosen shape, keeping the center of the frame. To keep the whole picture in vertical, use the 9:16 tool with a blurred background instead.

Can I make a video larger?

No. The tool only scales down: enlarging adds no detail and makes the file heavier.

Are vertical phone videos handled correctly?

Yes. The rotation stored by the phone is applied before cropping.
